Paul of the Jungle
Peru

Once lost in alcoholism, Pedro surrendered his life to Jesus. He and his brother began traveling deep into the Amazon jungles of Peru to reach unreached tribes for Jesus. On one of those trips his brother died. Soon after, his daughter died too.

Broken and ready to quit, God pulled him back. Today Pedro keeps going—months at a time in the jungle—so that remote tribes can hear the name of Jesus for the first time.

The Emmanuel Home of Protection is a safe haven for girls that have been rescued from abusive situations. They're able to get help, go to school, church, learn job skills and receive counseling and therapy for the trauma they've experienced. It's the only ministry of it's kind in Nicaragua.
